Yanyuan Apples

Yanyuan apples, a specialty of Yanyuan County in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, are a product protected by China’s national geographical indication. These apples feature thin skin, tender flesh, a sweet and crispy texture, large size, bright color, excellent flavor, and are free from pollution. Yanyuan meets all seven internationally recognized ecological criteria for optimal apple cultivation. On September 30, 2010, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for "Yanyuan Apples."
